Capturing Minds: Creating Effective Student Engagement Strategies
Marcia Kish will showcase creative ways to implement higher student engagement and ownership levels within a classroom environment. Combined with the 12 Elements of Student Engagement and Ownership Field Guide, the participants will explore practical activities by deploying a checklist in a learning studio classroom structure. The workshop will also focus on using data to design choice boards, rigorous projects, and Differentiated learning in digital content and independent practice studios. By the end of the workshop, participants will explore the power of allowing students to work through the daily standards at their own pace, place, and path and how the autonomy of choice provides even higher levels of engagement and ownership.

Layout of the Workshop
Please note that our workshops are customizable and can be adjusted for 90 minutes, two, three, and six hours of training. We also provide a High School Track, Middle School Track, and Elementary Track that fit the classroom sizes and bell schedules.
