Student Goal Setting Starters (Five Different Levels)
A wonderful way to increase student engagement and ownership is to use the data from the formative, summative, and online assessments to help develop student academic goals. I have generated TEN different student goals that the students can choose from to kick-start creating their personalized goals. The goal stems are a starting point for the data meetings with the teacher. Instead of the students saying I want to score better on my test, the goal stems will guide them on HOW they can achieve higher test scores.
This PDF contains FIVE different levels of Goal Starters. I used the colors from the NWEA MAP assessment to guide the levels and the colors.
Red - Basic with extra support
Orange - More guidance is needed
Yellow - Moving toward on level
Green - On-Level Students
Blue - Above Grade Level
