What is Phase Two?
Phase Two is the "Magic Sauce of Blended Learning" M. Kish
Phase Two allows students to move at their own pace, place, and path with the implementation of a Checklist. The multi-day checklist can be set to allow students choice in the different learning studios and the ability work through the content at their own pace. That means, that when the students are finished with a studio, they can pick another studio to complete within the given timeframe. Note that is important for students to have timelines and progression boards in order to successfully work within the Phase Two environment.
Phase Two and Data
Phase Two allows the teacher to start to differentiate the instruction based the needs of the students. To start the differentiated process, the teacher can start by modifying the mini lesson to meet the needs of small groups of students. As the teacher moves through the deployment plan, she will start to generate differentiated checklist, add choice activities, and conduct weekly individual data meetings.
